Oscar and Tilly cannot play together on the playground until they get on the see-saw and play together.....it's more fun.

Summary: Tilly the cat is content to let Oscar the puppy watch her play and she makes up many excuses why it is not his turn. Oscar is patient. Tilly takes one too many spins on the merry-go-round and feels sick which then gives Oscar the oppurtunity to play. They then switch roles and Oscar only allows Tilly to watch him play. In the end they both end up on the see saw where they realize that it is much more fun to play together then to play seperate.

Personal reaction: "It's my turn!" does a moderate job at bringing home the point of sharing and working together. The pictures in the book use bold colors and cute animals to capture your attention. The fun pictures certainly make the book.
