What better way to wrap November and prepare for Christmas book season than to read a steamy Christmas novella? I have to say I really enjoyed this one! At first I was concerned that it wasn’t going to be as spicy as it promised. It was just a lot of background, which I mean is necessary, but like I always expect bare minimum in novellas haha. It took me a minute to get into the story.

Once it got going though I have to admit that it was steamy, spicy and engaging. Riley is probably the cutest character in this book, she’s so dorky and just real. I loved her because she was incredibly relatable. Leo and Jace were great. They already had a dynamic going on between the two of them and somehow Riley just slipped right into it.

I think the author did a good job of showcasing the ways that all the characters worked together. I loved that the big issue, was a totally normal relationship issue, someone lying about something. I would have enjoyed more banter but that’s really just a me thing. If you want a quick spicy read to get the holiday season started this is definitely the one! ( )
