Pros and Cons. Pro: (1) the color - olive! (Compact Bibles typically have few color choices). (2) size - at a time when even rather large Bibles are carrying the "compact" title, it's refreshing to have some truth in advertising as to size, which is probably the main reason people by a compact Bible in the first place, Given the olive color and size, this would be a perfect Bible to place on a drink table or bedside table in a room with natural color decor, sky blue, sunset orange, plant greens, etc. (3) readability - dark on white, 8 point type (thus the "Large Print" - ie, large only for a compact), (4) price ($20)... Con: only barely qualifies as a "reference" Bible, (which is fine if like me, the buyer wants a small text Bible), the end of verse cross references are few and not so good (I'll explain), and the "Concordance" is topical, not a concordance for particular words. So the not so good cross references is a theological thing -- if you're dispensationalist, you'll find unhelpful references that supposedly connect similar verses, but actually could not be more opposite -- such as Daniel 9:27 (the Antichrist's covenant) supposedly (falsely) connecting to the covenant Messiah.
