Note: I received a digital review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. Oscar is an adventurous bunny who wants to go places, explore distant continents, or far away planets. A place in particular attracts his attention: the Moon ! Oscar has heard a rabbit lives on the Moon, and he really wants to be his friend. But how to get there ? Helen Tanner was inspired by a Jataka tale from India to create Oscar’s story. In the tale, “the angel of the forest draws the shape of the rabbit on the moon with her magic wand, to honor this rabbit for his courage and generosity.” The idea of a rabbit living on the Moon is central in Oscar’s adventure and is a driver in his will to explore the celestial body. Oscar is adorable, talented and full of ideas. I love his determination and the wonderful message he shares with young children : everything is possible if you believe in yourself and don’t give up. This little book is full of poetry, of shining stars and delicious cups of tea (and carrots !). The illustrations are simple, but beautiful. They are truly magical. I love the textured effects and the colors. They are shapes that children can easily recreate, creating new adventures for Oscar ! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

"An imaginative story of resilience and friendship. Oscar goes to the moon blends magical and ordinary life events together brilliantly to tell the story about an adorable rabbit on a journey to find a friend. It is a story about believing in yourself and never giving up. And the important lesson of finding your own path to your goals - with a little humor along the way"-- Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
