However, there's something going on in her family. Her family is under an ancient curse because of a serpent that was once killed by her ancestors. Of course, that's silly in a modern day world, BUT - it seems in every generation one person in the family has been killed by someone they are close to.
A Buddhist priest is involved (is he genuine? a scam artist?) There's an upcoming exorcism (can't wait!) and some creepy vibes from would-be friends of Jina.
I'll read the next issue in the series.
I do want to point out this amazing fact. When Lloyd, an American friend of Jina's cousin, wants to hang with Jina after school one day, she points this out:
"You don't seem to know much about Korean highschoolers. After school lets out. at 5'clock they stay in tutoring sessions until 11 at night." Jina herself goes about every other day.
Wow. That amazed me. Part of me is like - yes! we would have such smart kids if we did that here! The other part of me is like - how awful! I would have hated that in high school! (Although, it might have been good for me. . . .) Also, there has been talk about Jina dating a guy. Apparently, it's just considered normal to have a very casual relationship in school because you don't want a relationship when you're in college. (College seems to be assumed and dating in college apparently is considered difficult.)

I just checked around for volume 2. My library does not have it. I could not find it in Prospector (a group of libraries that do inter library loans.) I checked on a larger scale on Mobius and Worldcat and found one copy in Denmark. Sigh. I checked Amazon for used copies. They have volume 2 available but volume 3 is not available. Sigh. ( )
