Genuinely feels like a collection of old-timey fairy tales from a less patriarchal world. Like all anthologies, I prefer some stories more than others, but the whole book is worth a read. ( )

Even though fairy tales aren’t usually my jam, these wholesome stories offered cool twists to some of the fairy tale tropes, enough to make them enjoyable even for an adult. I love the queer elements and the art is great- cartoony at times, but lovely vibrant colors and even pastel shades, all done with colored pencils. Overall, a lovely book, but a low pick just because it wasn’t my usual thing. ( )

This was gorgeously illustrated and absolutely delightful. I read this as a library book but would love to get a copy for my personal library, especially if I ever have kids one day. Honestly though, this one is wonderful for all ages and I recommend for a good, wholesome time! ( )
