Nicky has discovered that she can “travel”(disappear & reappear in another place) and so have all her classmates! Suddenly she finds herself being held prisoner by a top-secret government organization called The Project and she isn’t alone in her ability. There are 6 other kids with the same ability trapped there – Seekers and Finders. Nicky and the others are used to travel to offices and photograph documents, change computer files and find missing children. (she and another boy can hone in on individuals). This is great when they find them alive but awful when the kids they search for have already perished.They don’t know who is keeping them there but they hatch a plan to escape when one of their number is shot ( you can’t travel in pain) and they are able to get rid of their tracking bracelets.
