Freedom’s Light brings to view how our concept of enemies changed; we lost an innocence within our country on 9/11. Robert Saniscalchi uses fictional characters to remind us of the emotional and physical turmoil we faced. Tex and Rob finds their extensive training useful as they test their limits. Fighting on different turf has its own set of rules and enemies aren’t as easy to identify.

Robert Saniscalchi triggers our memories of 9/11 in Freedom’s Light, or recants for those whom are too young to have lived through it. Lives loss, freedoms stolen, and war were frightening for us. This novel gives the reader the feel of our front-line defense and protection. It isn’t hard to visualize the fight as the author brings the action to the reader. You feel that Tex and Rob could easily have been in the war and this is their memoir. Exciting, realistic, and engaging read, which will thrill military action fans. ( )
