Isaac "Iris" Griffins is stunned to find that the man he saved on his last mission and his new coworker is his nemesis from basic training, Brock "Saint" Harlow. Iris has always wanted Saint but Mike Bravo has a strict no fraternisation policy and the job is everything - until he finds that throwing it away might be worth it, if he can have Saint.
Saint was deeply closeted back when he knew Iris but he's never forgotten the out and proud bi soldier who made his heart race. Finding out Iris rescued him from near death? That they're working together? That the competent crazy man has depths? Well that has his resolve crumbling. And once he gets a taste, he has no chance of going back.
This was enjoyable and easy enough to read. There was lots of action but mainly this was a romance with a random background op for flavour. The romance between Saint and Iris was good with lots of snarky banter and red hot sex.
Iris and Saint were fun characters with lots of humour and quick wit and I liked them a lot but my biggest issue would be they kind of felt interchangeable. There was no really distinct difference between them and it made them feel flat. Especially since they didn't spend a huge amount of time talking and getting to know one another. But there was some funny scenes and it was pleasant way to pass a few hours. 3.5 stars, rounded to 3. (
