First, a word of warning, this will take you on an emotional ride, and it’s totally worth it (but maybe keep the tissues nearby). This was definitely an opposites attract story - need for control Deirdra and free spirit Jagger. Despite Deridra’s reluctance to admit Jagger is the person she needs in her life, it’s absolutely clear from the first moment these two are in the same room together. If you’re looking for a romance that will remind you that sometimes, you get what you need but not what you want, and that happy endings can come true, even if you’ve stopped looking for them, then you’ve found your next read! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
When workaholic Boston attorney Deirdra de Messieres is passed over for a well-deserved promotion, she takes a two-month hiatus to show her boss just how much he needs her and heads home to Silver Island. But beyond seeing her sisters happy, home is not where Deirdra's heart is. She has no interest in their family restaurant, the Bistro, or reliving hurtful childhood memories, and absolutely no interest in spending a single second with Josiah Jagger Jones, the Bistro's too-laid-back musician and chef. Sure, the hippie is hot, but he drives her nuts. The guy lives in a van with his dog, and he can't even commit to a solid work schedule. To make matters worse, he's always around. She needs to get off the island, stat. Jagger has overcome his own personal trials to place stock in life's pleasures: family, friends, peace...and if he has his way, one positively beautiful, absolutely uptight attorney. Jagger knows he's the perfect person to help Deirdra deal with her hurtful past and find her way back to being happy. A chance encounter leads to deep conversation, and night after liberating night, Deirdra lets down her guard. But neither is long for Silver Island. Free-spirited Jagger has wanderlust, and Deirdra has a career to return to. They're on different paths, and plans for a future together don't stand a chance. But when has anything gone according to plan? Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

Silver Harbor #3
Lovely small-town romance ~ opposites attract, sparks fly, love develops, and family issues are resolved as Deirdra “Didi” de Messsieres and Josiah “Jagger” Jones find their way to a splendid happily ever after.
What I liked:
* Jagger: chef, musician, environmentalist, wanderer, outgoing, friend to all, wise, loving brother, puts family first, falls hard for Didi
* Didi: workaholic, lawyer, needs a plan, fears not having “enough”, loves her sisters, priorities skewed, falls hard for Jagger
* The romantic things Jagger does – those dates were splendid!
* Gabe: Jagger’s brother, tomato lover, gardener, autistic, loves listening to Jagger play music, involved in business of his own
* Dolly: Dalmatian, Josh’s friend and companion, big-hearted, fun, nice addition to story
* Abby and Cait: sisters of Didi who have already found their HEA with Aiden and Brant
* The first meet-up of Jagger and Didi in the garage apartment ;)
* The way Jagger’s relaxed life outlook helped Didi see things differently
* The small-town vibes
* Learning about library vacations to places people might want to visit
* The food and fun
* The importance of family in this series
* That Didi and Jagger brought out the best in one another
* All of it really…except…
What I didn’t like:
* Knowing how difficult it must have been for Didi and Abby when they lost their father and then lost the mother they knew to the alcoholic lonely one she became
