Sabina and Jeffree are forced to marry in order to save their reputations, and they both, at least partly, blame each other for the predicament that they find themselves in. I loved watching them get together and it turned out really sweet.

Jeffree is a weird mix of arrogant, rude, hotheaded, awkward, and sweet. He's one of the strangest characters that I have ever read about, but somehow it works. Sabina was previously married to a habitual cheater who didn't value her, and her outlook has been shaped by her bad experiences. She's a tough woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind and stand toe to toe with Jeffree. ( )

I enjoyed this but not as much as some by this author. The heroine stayed stupidly reluctant to trust the hero for too long. But overall I did like this one with a virgin hero and a widow. The writing was great as always but I felt like there could have been more story. Still I love this author and her made up medieval world. And I will be continually happy to read her stuff. ( )
