This book is full of action, steam, family, and suspense. It kept me guessing the whole time and I enjoyed it. Loki was just amazing. He was strong, alpha, and took care of those he loved. He comes home after being gone hunting down those who destroyed his life years ago now he has to decide if he is willing to risk his adoptive family in order to get help. Sloane is a romance writer, says exactly what is on her mind, has her own insecurities, but to me she was annoying. I understood her insecurities but she could go from tough girl to crazy lady in seconds. I know she was just reacting to what had happened in her past but I just couldn’t relate to her. I liked certain things about her like her caring ways, when she would show emotion, but she would hide so much behind her facade it was a tad immature. The heat between Loki and Sloane was off the charts and I loved how he brought out the best in her while she taught him how to relax. The family dynamic was my favorite because it showed family isn’t always blood but those who stand with you. ( )

This was my favorite of the series. I loved Loki and Sloane. The chemistry and the story were great. Any issues that I had before with this series was gone. It was like this was a totally different author. ( )
