The entire animal kingdom is all abuzz with the news. Each type of animal tried to do their best to get ready (except the owl). When he didn't come by nightfall, the owl told them everything they needed to know. A marvelous book!

A very cute story with lovely illustrations. While the animals get ready for God's visit by preening and primping and trying to look and do their best, it turns out the God was with them all along. He's always with us. A great lesson for children to learn. ( )

This is a charming book with whimsical illustrations and a thought-provoking storyline. I enjoyed it myself and know my grandkids will want to hear it again and again. ( )

This sweet story relates how different animals in the world spread the news that God is Coming and prepare to impress God. But what is great enough for God? The animals spend all day getting ready and fretting, but God doesn't show up! Finally, in the moonlight, the wise OWL informs them that God is always here and all they need to do is "be still and feel God's love." The culmination of the story explains how we can always be certain that God is with us. This is a great message for children ages 3 - 7 (and all of us). The illustrations are fun and colorful. ( )
