Yes, five stars, despite the giant prison fail for dramatic effect, because the end is so satisfying.

I love these characters.

The plot is good enough.

And the end of #3 satisfies all the way to the last word. ( )

I am so glad I continued reading past the rocky start of the first book. I'm having so much fun with this series! It keeps getting better and better, and can't wait for the fourth book to get an audio. ( )

I loved the Thomas Kane mystery, so much tension! My only complaint with the plot would have to be darn Joey the ghost. Why you gotta go through a personality change after entering the afterlife and become so violent and mean?? And how are you so strong?? ( )

This was soooo good! We picked up right after the last book. Rain is asked to help the FBI with talking with a serial killer about to be put to death. It seems to be tied to a ghostly visit that Rain is having. The story was woven very well. I didn’t see some of the twists coming. I love Rain and Danny together. They are perfectly imperfect and amazing together. I had a wide variety of emotions in this book. I laughed at their banter, I shuttered from the mystery, and I admit that I had tears at one point. This was lovely. Now I need to know what happens next. The book ended with something I had been waiting to happen. Now I need to know if there is more to that story.
