Things get out of control. The power level of the MC goes through the roof. So much so that I can not possibly imagine a threat that can actually introduce danger to her after this book. Except of course there will be because it was explicitly foreshadowed for the next book.
I enjoyed reading this but I can't imagine a follow-up book that won't ruin everything so I will stop here.
Furthermore, the book fails miserably at keeping its tone even somewhat consistent. It rapidly switches between melancholic, serious but determined, and slapstick comedy without warning, sometimes in the middle of a scene even. This causes severe emotional whiplash and makes it really hard to take anything seriously. ( )
