I don't think this book was meant for me. I mean, I love Ireland and I certainly wouldn't turn down a handsome cowboy if he showed up at my door, but... Bridget spent the majority of the book debating whether or not she'd be going back to Ireland and it was very clear from the get-go that it would never happen. Therefore the hemming and hawing over it was pointless, especially considering that she and Maverick were constantly alluding to their plans for their future together. From my perspective, that was the whole plot in a nutshell, which explains why I was so bored and ready to finish the book. Even cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies have more plot to work with usually (and I do enjoy those from time to time.)

Side note: I'm not a huge fan when the author inserts multiple song titles/artists into the story. It fits awkwardly within the dialogue, and it just ends up distracting me away from the story itself. (Especially when the majority of them are country songs and I very rarely listen to country music.) ( )
