This would be good as a read aloud or personal reading for learning geography, for middle grade students like 3rd or 4th grade. This book walks through the history of Alabama and the people from Alabama who made a difference in the world. This book could be a great book to share with 3rd or 4th graders. Within the classroom, this book could be a great example of state history and kick off a unit on state history research.
