This is one of our family favorites as we have a special friend named Frankie in our lives. We think it is funny, well written, full of great puns, and a great example of thinking outside the box!

All of Frankie's classmates are dressing up as their favorite foods for the school play. But Frankie can't choose what to be - he has too many favorite foods! Luckily, Frankie is able to help out as stage manager and then figures out his own costume right before the play is about to end. What will he be?

This quirky book is filled with fun, fanciful illustrations of food and sweet characters. Older readers will enjoy the offbeat story and food puns. While these will be over the heads of younger readers, they will still surely enjoy the pictures.

This book is a true delight that my children love reading again and again! It's silly, fun, good exposure to different foods, and the ending is genuinely engaging! ( )

My children and their cousins loved this book. I liked the idea that Frankie found a way to be included, despite being anxious about the performance. It addresses multiple topics that children can relate to and deal with on a regular basis (decision making, anxiety, performances, etc) ( )

I really enjoyed this book, I think that it's a really cute book for children and adults. It's literally just a cute children's book about foods. It could have the potential of having something in it that your kid might like to eat. ( )
