It delves into the moral and legal insanity of a so called spiritual cult and how it affects the nearby community. The other issue is considering how negatively as well as positively a cultural community will impact that same community. The characters are interesting and very clearly depicted as is the imagery of the locality. An engaging read. I requested and received a free ebook copy from Beyond the Page Publishing via NetGalley. This was a real return to form after a disappointing fifth book in the series. My biggest criticism of this book is that it is a real stretch to call this a cozy mystery, with such dark subject matter.
My favorite line in the book.
It’s appropriate that Kant is mentioned as his philosophical approach is based on rationalism which is so at odds with the cult members who are being indoctrinated in conspiracy theories to simply obey and not to think at all for themselves. (
