She walked in on her long time boyfriend's dick inside of her roommate on her loveseat. A loveseat that she now has to burn. First, she has to get out of there. Fast. Topher is chasing her--to talk to her. Yeah, right like that's going to happen. She runs right into the one person Topher hates the most--Wick Webster. A series of events that alters her life unfolds including moving out of her dorm room and moving in with her noe ex's arch-nemesis. The more time passes the more Haven wants revenge on Topher not only for cheating on her, but for all the horrible things he has done to other people too. Oh and not to mention the antics he's currently pulling like spreading vicious rumors that could ruin her future or his cruelty to others. Topher needs to learn a lesson and she's just the girl to do it. After all she is a future teacher. But she's going to need some help. Wick has been fighting/feuding with Topher since Freshmen year. Nothing has changed. Why would it now? Wick feels protective of Haven after she pushed him back into his sister's dorm room to hide from Topher. He will do anything to protect this girl even at risk of his own health which could happen on the football field if Topher and his offensive line find out where Haven lives. The longer he's around Haven the more he's falling for her. Of course, Topher and his O-line will do everything possible to make Wick's life a living hell including hitting Wick so hard during practice that lands Wick in the hospital. Wick's sister Izzy has a plan that she didn't tell anyone about. Will her plan work? I have to admit the first few chapters were a bit confusing that was due to having three POV. I kept reading. I wanted to figure out how all three connect. Please don't stop reading because of the three POV. It will make sense at the halfway point and completely revealed towards the end. Hint: Family takes care of their own! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
After I caught my boyfriend cheating, I tried to be mature about it with an amicable split. But he took his retaliation too far, and I have officially had enough. No more Miss Nice Haven. No one is allowed to lie to me, betray, embarrass, and devastate me, fill me with self-doubt, or put my future at risk, and expect to get away with it. He is going to feel my wrath. Enter Wick Webster, his archenemy. Nothing would provoke my ex more than to see me moving on with the one guy he hates most, so that's exactly what I plan to do. The only hitch in my brilliant scheme is Wick himself. He's just gotta be all love-not-war and peace-is-the-only-way. He's more concerned about helping me heal than seeking my sweet revenge. And what the hell is it about his soothing presence and yummy looks that calls to me until I forget how much pain I'm in? He's making it awfully hard to use and abuse him for my malicious means. The damn guy is making me fall for him. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

So basically the set up of this one is where the heroine walks in on her boyfriend having sex with her roommate. She she runs off and finds haven with her ex boyfriend's nemesis on the football team, and through a course of events, they become roommates. But even though his friends think its a mistake for him to build anything with Haven. But as Wick and Haven really bond together and find their path to each other, some secrets of the past become revealed and their relationship will become more deeper than either of them would have expected.
I really found this one so interesting. There is a backstory that I would say you want to stick with it, I know at first it makes no sense, but trust me, as the story progresses, you will see later in the story how it connects so deeply to the main storyline with Wick and Haven. I absolutely adored it. It just added so much more to Wick and Haven's story. I really loved the way that Linda Kage built this story. It gets a bit wild with some of the revenge aspects, but in the end, the villain gets the justice he deserves.
Overall I became so satisfied with how this one played out and I can't wait to see what the author delivers with these books! ( )
