3.5ish. could've been better..I seem to be enjoying dragons and fairies less and less apparently

I am glad to have read the opening comments that the author included in this book because they prepared me for the experience of not liking the hero. This isn't the first time this author added this type of warning in her books, but it was the first time that I actually didn't like the Hero. I had to relax my expectations and go with the flow. This is how to approach this book. Don't take it too seriously (except the scenes that beg for it), and be a bit more accepting. Don't quit just because he pisses you off, because he will. Just keep it going and don't compare him to all your personal expectations as to what a "perfect hero" is. Amelia Hutchins has made the best Alpha Asshole Heroes, but this is the first time that he won't be redeemable for quite a long time. So go with it.

Otherwise, the story is full of the actions, sex, dirty talk, and women who wont' roll over that this series is known for.

With that being said, I liked it, I would read it again, and I recommend it to anyone who has read this series. ( )
