A touching story of renewal, healing of raw feelings for a number of people. Woven through the interesting exploration of tending and training a gyrfalcon that has been shot to enable its recovery and eventual release back into the wild. Only jarring piece was the shot that killed the man trying to cause the trainer to fall from the cliffs. But a tidy clearing up of the drama. ( )

The writing is excellent, but the plot was pretty formulaic and predictable. ( )

I liked this book, a nice in between read. Nothing special, just one of those that deflect your brain and makes time go past without worrying too much. ( )
