For anyone who has ever stood at a crossroads or been at a pivotal moment in their lives, remember - you can always start over. Have you ever achieved success at something and found it not as fulfilling as you hoped it would be? You're not alone. What if our version or definition of success won't bring us the sense of fulfillment we think it will? How do you define significance and how do we become significant? In Red Key Revolution, Jordan Kemper challenges you to reevaluate what it is you're after and why. During his pursuit of success, he found that significance is ultimately what our hearts desire. He unravels his story, including a decision he made as a teenage boy on behalf of a woman he would not meet for almost 20 years - his wife. That decision changed his perspective forever and ultimately led to the fruition of this revolution. We make decisions every day that will affect the people we meet tomorrow. Through a series of questions and action steps, Red Key Revolution will help you gain clarity on how to deliberately and intentionally pursue significance and success. Sacrifices are necessary for anything worthwhile, and when you sacrifice for what matters most, it's guaranteed to be worth it. Kemper's book redefines success in a way that leaves a legacy - the kind of success that will matter long after you're gone.… (altro)

Red Key Significance

Red Key Revolution: Redefining Success for a Life of Significance by Jordan Kemper

October 2, 2018
Nonfiction, self help

I received a digital copy of this book from GoodReads Giveaway/Amazon Kindle in exchange for an unbiased review.

This book is structured in a readable fashion whereby the author offers advice through exploring his own life lessons. He also relates how other people have learned valuable life lessons through their own varied experiences. Of note, there is a spiritual and religious slant to the authors perspective.

“All keys unlock something. Tangible things, like cars and houses. And intangible things, like solutions and hearts. Sometimes keys unlock life itself.”

The author explains the historical origin of the red key with description of the shape and use. This provides a concrete way to understand the concepts he will be addressing and the symbolism of the key. He shares a story of how a key eventually became to represent a more significant role than he could’ve imagined.

“So, while my first introduction to a red key revolved around the uncomfortable topic of sexuality, I now know that red keys are bigger than one decision in one aspect of our lives. They are the sums of our decisions throughout our lives.”

Author Marianne Williamson said, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, which frightens us.”

The author expresses his desire for Red Key Revolution to be a catalyst for becoming exactly who God created you to be. He believes we have the ability to impact more lives than we could even imagine. It’s time now to write the rest of your story by choosing to intentionally pursue significance and success.
