Leaving his pregnant wife for a business trip, he boards Flight 2222. Like him, I am not a fan of flying, going through the hassle of undressing/dressing, getting xrayed and frisked, plus the flight itself..
Maria had ruined her life and she is taking the trip to Argentina to atone for it. She boards Flight 2222, not knowing whether it will help it was too late to make amends.
Thomas Neviaser does a fabulous job of describing the flight and I started to get a bit antsy as I read along. Made me remember the times I have flown, the turbulence….well, ‘nough said.
I have played their game…picking someone and guessing their name, their job, are they marrried…
I cannot imagine being in a plane crash and I will not let my mind go there. BUT, reading, I can let an author take me there because I know it isn’t real. Imagine, if you will, crashing at at sea, nothing but deep blue water as far as the eye can see. I have watched a lot of shows and read a lot of books, so I know what’s going to happen…or do I?
The Flight of 2222 rang too real for me and got to me more than I thought it would. Of course, I had just watched Shark Week and the episode where the guys were ‘shipwrecked at sea’, and they monitored their dilemma. Made it easier to visualize, being stranded day after day, week after week…how long can a person really survive?
Morbidly realistic tale of how far people will go to live. Peoples personalities shine in the light of day and fester in the dark of night. Thirst, hunger, illness, hallucinations, crossing over the line of sanity.
WOW didn’t see that twist or that turn or that twist…and that ending…Kudos to Thomas Neviaser for that fabulous surprise ending! I love it!
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Flight 2222 by Thomas Neviaser.
