why did I not know of these books before? there's just something about the deadpan humour and low-key epicness that really appeals to me. it may not be for everyone but I love these to bits. ( )

I LOVE these comics. So much imagination and they're simple, and funny, and dirty. Whenever I read these it always makes me want to create something like this. Then I remember I can't draw, but really the art in these books isn't "good" it's just "stylized" and goofy. Either way, I think I HAVE to collect all of these now. ( )

This volume about what happened after the keeper left his father's home started a bit slow for me, but picked up later on. The social commentary was a definite plus, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the events of this book tie in with the keeper's later life running the dungeon. ( )

A pleasant read with some inventive artwork, though I didn't find the writing hilarious. Perhaps it was more amusing in the original French? I'm intrigued enough that I would read the other volumes in the series, if I could find them at the library. ( )
