Disclaimer: I obtained this book via the LibraryThing Member Giveaway.Write the Book You're Meant to Write is a short, 127 page book specifically designed to give new (or hopeful) authors a boost and a sense of direction for how to publish their first book. The basic outline: 1) Are you ready to write?; 2) Fundamentals for the authoring journey; 3) An overview of the paths to publishing; and 4) A gentle nudge to take the next steps. Clearly, the path to author and publish a first book is complex and difficult to navigate without the advice of someone who has already traveled that path. The final of the book has an excellent description of the six phases of writing and publishing a book, with helpful descriptions of each phase. A professional editor, book designing, metadata strategies, and marketing may not be the first thing to come to mind for a first-time author, but this book gives some valid reasons for consideration. Several examples of books from the author's publishing house are given in an appendix. Questa recensione è stata scritta per gli Omaggi dei Membri di LibraryThing . This is well written and had some good points. The overwhelming point seemed to be to use professionals to publish. The unasahamed punting of the author's company was amazing. I found the title misleading so was disappointed by the content. I received this as a LibraryThing Member GiveAway. Thank you. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
