A filthy proposition. Too much money to say no. One dirty night in a stranger's bed. While my husband watches. It should've been a dream. A new life on the coast, running a beautiful country hotel with my husband. It should have been everything I'd ever wanted. Worth every scrap of investment. A hotel business we'd sunken every single penny we owned into, only to find out there was a big chain rival opening just a stone's throw away. Slowly, day by day, the dream became a nightmare. Bills. So many bills. Sleepless nights, tossing and turning. No way out in sight. Until there was him. The man at the bar. The man with a proposition we should never have considered in a thousand years... Me. Him. One long night where I'm subject to his every fantasy. While my husband watches. Contains mature themes.… (altro)

I almost set this book aside several times. I hated the guys in the story, for most of the book. And not in a love-to-hate kind of way either. They're both terrible human beings.

It says something for Jade's writing that I persevered. Grace, the heroine, was a likable character and Brett and Thomas somewhat redeemed themselves by the end of their story. And the sex is hot and well-written.

Definitely worth checking out. ( )

ARC-BOOK REVIEW
Release Date-26/2/18

"One Too Many" for me was such an interesting and diverse read.
Whilst not my favourite of Jade's books I still enjoyed and appreciated this very much.
This was certainly a very different read from the norm and I think that is what I found so intriguing about this.
The emotions explored here were very easy to get lost in and I found that this did manage to convey to me the deep sentiment that comes from knowing your partner inside out.
Perhaps not as much so in the beginning, But certainly later when Bret and Grace started to reconnect within there relationship.
Also, a side effect brought forth unwittingly by Thomas.
So what did I love about "One Too Many"
Well Brett and Grace's marriage, it was like a warm welcoming hug.
There closeness and acceptance of each other but also that fact that they were flawed normal individuals, Was so refreshing to behold.
There eventual affection and support towards Thomas was also extremely endearing.
I loved that they had the ability to just accept things at face value. But also, the ability to question things when it was actually needed, does that even make sense.
The fact that this book and the story was just so normal, no tricks or gimmicks just folks trying to live there lives the best way they can, I loved that about "One Too Many".
And OMG can I just say those bedroom antics,
HOT HOT HOT!!!!

Fanning myself here big style girls.
Joking aside the bedroom scenes here were amazing and compelling, so well written, It wasn't just sex you could actually feel the tenderness and sentiment and also the playfulness behind the filth and corruption.
There was also perhaps a deeper message to convey here, a moral one, is it actually worth the risk to destroy something so precious as the love and trust in a union over money.
Could one night actually destroy a lifetime of affection and trust.
finally, I really liked how this jumped from each characters POV.
I felt much closer to all three from getting to play in each of their heads for a short time.
What did I have slight issues with, well it's actually a short list and these are just my own personal observations.
So here you are,
I wasn't really a mega fan of the ending.

the whole Polly thing, well I'm not too sure about that.
We didn't really get to know Polly and I do understand she was like Thomas's conscience and all.
But she just felt a tad unnecessary and like second best, at least that's the impression I got from this, maybe that's just me.
I would really like to know what actually occurs next for these two, this just felt a bit unresolved overall.
I'm actually hoping Thomas might get his own short novella maybe just to clarify and polish things off.

So that's it from me, this is a fabulously unusual read that you really should give a chance too.
I don't think you'll regret it.
I was provided with an ARC of "One Too Many" By the author of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

5.0 push the envelope stars

Sweet holy hell. This book was hotter than Satan's mistress. This author knows how to push the limits and make a non believer a believer. Just when I think that i have figured out her writing style she up and changes it. From the very first chapter she sucks you in and I swear her words become crack. I need to find therapy for this addiction. It's twisty and full of surprises. Just when I think I've seen it all or figured things out she hits me from left field. Pure sublime deliciousness.

Grace, Brett, and Thomas. They aren't the typical MFM type of characters. You watched them grow from something of an ulterior motive and then flourish and expand. There was a story here that was more than just sex or an instalove type relationship. Hell, you cannot even call this a relationship. The steamy times were hotter than Death Valley in August. My iPad was steaming.

I look forward to finding out what happens next. Knowing this author I will not be disappointed.
