Every Samantha Chase fan, knows the surname Montgomery is synonymous with romance. The Montgomery brood can make a reader fall heart first for their special brand of wooing. Until There Was Us turns an introverted klutz into a irresistible swan. Megan is the Montgomery that never quite fit in. She's smart, clumsy and prefers to blend into the crowd. Once upon a time, she was content to just exist. Until with one look, he showed her how to live. Alex and Megan speak to the insecurities that we all have, but are afraid to acknowledge. Fear is finding the courage to take a risk, despite the outcome. ( ) I received a copy of this book from NetGalley to read in exchange for a fair review. Until There Was Us is one of Samantha Chase’s Montgomery Brothers novels. This one is about a Montgomery sister though. Megan Montgomery is a workaholic, so much so that she has let work consume her life entirely and that cost her a promising relationship with Alex Rebat after they met at her cousins wedding 2 years ago. Deciding to make changes she takes a new job in Portland where Alex lives in hopes that perhaps they can start over. Alex has been thinking about Megan and wondering, so when he finds out she is moving to Portland he can’t wait to see her and find out if what they had is still there. A lovely romance about figuring out who you are and what is important to you. I enjoyed reading it very much. Quite steamy. Publishing date May 1, 2018 #UntilThereWasUs #NetGalley I loved this story!! Megan & Alex had a chance at a relationship. The emotion & attraction were there. They planned a getaway but Megan didn't show. She put her job & her need for her father's approval ahead of any relationship they might have had. Fast forward several years & Megan was moving to take a job with her cousin., Zach. Now that they are in the same town, is the attraction still there? Can Megan develop a life outside of work or will the guilt cause her to cave? This story grabbed my attention right from the first line. I loved how the interactions between Alex, Megan & the rest of the family framed the attitude & experiences that make up the story. This story emphasized the family connection & support extended whether a family member by blood or by acceptance. The interactions between Alex & Danny illustrated Alex's strength & compassion & was an emotional part of the story. The writer has a gift for making sure the readers feel as much emotion as she can. I laughed. I cried. I loved. If you want to read a beautiful tender romance with lots of emotion & affection, you can't pass this one up! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
