Learning about the way other cultures celebrate some of the winter holidays is fascinating and, as Brian in this story finds out, can be just a little scary as well. Budapest in winter is not just cold, as he finds out when his roommate Zoli takes him on a tour, but has some very fun festivities to offer as well.

Brian is in Budapest to teach English, and is looking forward to the challenge. He is a little shy, and I suspect he wouldn't have made it there if not for his best friend. Once he has arrived, his new roommate, a native Hungarian, shows him around and explains some of the local customs. Brian is interested in all of it, butt as much as in Zoli himself... Luckily, the attraction seems to be mutual.

If you like to read about different ways of looking at pre-Christmas traditions, if Budapest as a location for an adventure sounds interesting, and if you're looking for a read full of fun and mischief, then you will probably enjoy this short story.
