Appartiene alle SerieCape End Romance (2)
Emerson Lange knows that life comes with no guarantees. After her parents' unexpected deaths, she drops out of medical school and moves to Provincetown to pursue her real passion--art. Darcy Belo is also no stranger to life's unexpected twists and turns. She never expected to become a single mother at twenty-two, but she has no regrets over moving back home or the life she's built with her son. A chance meeting at a wedding sparks an instant attraction between them, but pursuing it is not without complications. Neither woman is looking for love, but when their summer romance reveals the promise of so much more, each of them must confront their notions of love, the future, and what it means to be a family. But, to the story itself. It's about Emerson and Darcy. They both live in/around Provincetown on the Cape and know people in common although they're not friends. Then their friends Alex and Lia get married, or more specifically have their wedding, and Darcy is the caterer for the reception, and meets Emerson, who is the photographer for the wedding (although she's usually a painter).
They get closer, but there are multiple road blocks in their way, like the fact that Darcy has the cutest kid, Liam, and is very very compartmentalized because of it.
Emerson on the other hand can sometimes get really lost in her head and that doesn't go great with Darcy's issues.
It was cool seeing Lia and Alex again (from the previous book Winter's Harbor). And them being there thankfully didn't overwhelm the new burgeoning romance between Emerson and Darcy.
And woo, it's a series (or at least a trilogy I think) but even if we only get these two books, they've been totally awesome.
