Naima has always known that her family came from Algeria - but up until now, that meant very little to her. Il libro è molto interessante per l’argomento, poco noto, e molto avvincente nella prima e nella seconda parte. Le storie di Alì e di Hamid, dolorose vicende di immigrazione, sono raccontate molto bene mentre la terza parte, quella di Naima, è meno riuscita. Ci sono troppe divagazioni, troppi personaggi poco delineati e c’è forse qualche forzatura di troppo nella descrizione della sua vita e dei suoi atteggiamenti di donna francese emancipata. Peccato, perché le prima due parti meritavano quattro stelle e forse più, ma mi devo fermare e tre e mezzo. ( )
