Origins of the Fifth Amendment The Right Against Self-Incrimination, by Leonard W. Levy (read 16 Mar 2009) (Pulitzer History prize in 1969) I have wanted to read this book ever since it won the Pulitzer History prize. But I found it was not as interesting as I expected. The account of John Lilburne's brilliant defense of himself in the mid-17th century was good reading, as was the account of how the right against self-incrimination came to be accepted in America. But much of the rest of the book was dry and not interest-holding. ( ) nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
