Ivy Nash Thriller book #3

Redemption Thriller #9

Although “In Doubt” can be read on its own, you really should read the previous books in this series in order to better understand why the characters are the way they are.

Following the events of the previous book Ivy is paranoid, jumpy and has no desire to take on new cases until Christina (recurring character) gets her the perfect job…..Ivy is asked to protect an adorable little girl from a wealthy egomaniac hell-bent on revenge.

Mr. Mefford has a way of drawing his readers into the story and making you feel like you are a part of it. He writes seamlessly jumping between characters without hesitation. The drama is told with confidence and is very descriptive. It is just like watching a movie. The characters display a wide range of behaviour from good to bad, from manipulative to abusive and they have to deals with all sorts of situations. This plot is on the dark side, complex and has multiple threads that slowly builds tension till we reach the thrilling climax. If you need a break and enjoy being entertained without the need of a dictionary Mr. Mefford provides clear and concise phrases in all his mysteries. The story moves at a steady pace and at times gives you the shivers but it is not as thrilling as in the Alex Trout series.

“In Doubt” is good but it is not my preferred in this series having said this I still was a pleasure to read. Next book to read “Break In” book #4 ( )

This is the 3rd book in this series and they just keep getting better. Love the characters and how they interact. Great plots that keep you guessing. There is also some romance, some humor and some tears. When you are working on behalf of abused and neglected kids there are definitely going to be some tears but these stories leave you feeling that maybe there are still good people out there trying to do some tough work. Don't know how Mr. Mefford keeps churning out these great series but kudos to him. Can't wait to read the rest of this series and see how it ties into the Alex Troutt series.

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

I've spent so long trying to figure out how to describe this book. Just when you think Ivy Nash can't possibly find herself in any more trouble, she gets caught up in a whirlwind of thrilling adventure. Although the setting isn't exotic, John Mefford totally delivers with a heart racing, nail-biting thriller. Past monsters rear their ugly heads from the shadows, and in the center of the vortex, an adorable, innocent little girl.

Once again, John Mefford delivers a great thriller/mystery in the Ivy Nash series. This is the 3rd book in the series and it can be read as a standalone but I think you’ll want to read all three.

The theme continues with Ivy Nash always on the lookout for the man who is trying to kill her. Never with her guard down, she must continue to live her life and her ECHO business. She gets a job protecting a little girl with an extremely rich father who is charged with sexual assault on a minor. The love the father shows he’s little girl is so convincing could he really be the person the authorities are saying. Then Ivy’s only employee, Cristina, starts talking to her estranged mother and someone whom she never wanted to see again comes back in the picture. The book weaves in and out between difference parts of the story and keeps your interest. Never a dull section and you’ll want to keep reading. Of course, the ending leaves you wanting more! ( )
