I just LOVED this novel and I cracked up with Zoe's friend Dee who's a hoot! I couldn't blame Zoe for stepping out of her comfort zone when her boyfriend cruelly dumped her! She wore a tight red dress to have drinks with her two friends and hoped that some guy would look at her with longing as her ego was severely bruised. Detective Zeke Chance cursed the fact he had to go undercover and find one of Ray Ray's prostitutes to sweet talk her into giving up data so they could arrest him, he was Vice and totally out of his element. As she sat in the bar, Zeke had a hard time not to stare at the beauty in the red tight dress, and when she stood up and parked her sweet tush between his legs and swallowed her drink, he made his move. A love story we are all familiar with, but Amanda Siegrist throws in a little twist in One Taste of You. Boy dumps girl. Don’t get mad, party. And that’s what Zoe does, meeting her besties for a night out on the town. In walks…

Zeke. He is a homicide detective, who has been recruited to work under cover to bust a pimp. Uh Oh. I think I know where this is going and I think it is going to be a fun ride..

One Taste…that’s all he wants.

Hot and steamy sexual situations. It’s insta lust all right. And boy did Zeke ever blow a good thing. He is haunted by his actions and can’t get her out of his mind.

A murder brings them back together. Can he win over a hurt and angry Zoe?

A trio of ladies, some hunkalicious cop. I can see where this series is going and I am happy to be along for the ride.

I love the dialogue and verbal bantering between Zeke and Ben. And Zoe, Rina and Dee. I love all the characters, and I didn’t see the ‘final’ danger until it came knocking.

One Taste of Love by Amanda Siegrist is a fun, easy reading romance, with a mystery and murder on the side. Not quite as intense as her other romantic suspense series I read, but great for your summer reading list.

The romance is the entree and the mystery is the salad. Amanda has me so invested in the characters, I feel I must continue reading the next book…and the next book…and I did.
