Hunt for Christmas, a Second Chance Novel, by Tina DeSalvo is the perfect holiday read. Or anytime read, for that matter. It’s sweet and sexy with a large helping of smolder. Hunt bought his island to have a place of peace. Camille is trying to find peace, too, but through her family and tradition. So how is that going to work out, when both of them want the same thing but in different ways? And how are they going to deal with that instant attraction? It was fun to watch them dance around each other and to guess if, when and how they would get together.

The setting was beautiful and described in such wonderful detail that although I have never been to the Bayou I felt right at home. And the food – don’t even get me started. Maybe Camille’s straight-laced friend Edward didn’t want to eat it at first, but I sure did. Thank heaven there are recipes!

The cast of supporting characters is charming and delightful. The pace was just right and the ending was perfect. This was my first read by Tina DeSalvo but it certainly won’t be my last. ( )
