I think it's my own personal issues; this just got too hard for me to listen to. I was shouting at the protagonist, and not enjoying it at all.

I really think the problem here is not the book. Three stars because anything else is too much like expressing an opinion I dont really think will help anyone. ( )

While I liked the first novel I read by this author better, this was still a very good thriller. I liked the setup of the story and I liked how it was interspersed with things in the past. It was terrifying how quickly things soured for Louisa and I was genuinely afraid for her life and safety, and had no idea how she would manage to save herself. This novel was intense and I could not put it down when I started. I actually enjoyed the ending for this thriller a lot, as I felt it showed real character development. I'm looking forward to reading more by this author, and if you haven't already put her on your list of authors to watch out for, then you should do so now! This is a thriller that is bound to satisfy! ( )
