Very interesting autobiography of Ms Scdoris, a legally blind dog racer who becomes the first person not fully sighted to race in the Alaskan classic Iditarod Sled Dog Race. Her story, and her perspective, is not one of overcoming sight issues, but of simply winning the right to compete on an equal footing and overcoming the prejudices associated with not being fully sighted.

I was lucky enough to have met the author at a recent conference and hear her story first hand. Rachel Scdoris is a great story teller and her stories read as well as she tells them. ( )
