Apprehension Prisoner of Desire is an interracial romance with Steve Ewing, a white bank executive and Mandy Franklin, a black female police officer. The beginning of this plot is very titillating and that sets the tone for a very enjoyable story. Mandy and Steve are in somewhat of a gender role reversal in that Mandy’s job as a police officer can be fraught with danger while Steve’s job as an executive seems like a much safer career option. It is endearing and comical the way Mandy tries to pursue Steve with the help of her friends but despite her evident lack of experience, she snags her man. Steve is that quiet type you have to watch because on the surface he appears very straight-laced but he’s anything but and Mandy makes the perfect partner with her willingness to please and ability to let go and let Steve lead. This couple has amazing chemistry and while BDSM might not be for everyone, these two make it so desirable.

Mandy Franklin is an officer of the law, Steve Ewing is a bank manager and they have nothing in common except an occasional basketball game, but all this changes one dark 4th of July night. Unfortunately as good as it is with Mandy, Steve is unsure he can commit to a woman with such a dangerous career.
