Sometimes it was physically hard to read due to the way the inserts were added (since I didn’t want to detach them from the pages). Still, well worth a look for any fans of the movie or puppeteering in general. ( ) This book is so much more than just a visual history. I am one of those Labyrinth fans that had the VHS tape and then bought the DVD so I could watch it over and over. After reading this book, I am going to sit down after the Olympics are over and watch it again. I am definitely going to buy this book for my son, also a Labyrinth fan. I had no idea that it took as long as it did to get this movie made from the time Jim Henson first conceived the idea. The various writers and number of scripts is hard to believe. I definitely agree with Jim Henson that of all the singers that may have been considered for the part of the Goblin King, David Bowie was definitely the only serious contender. Jennifer Connolly played Sarah so well that I can not imagine the movie with any other other names that auditioned. The information within the pages of this book is amazing. All the various puppet characters, how they were constructed, how they were used with the actors, the changes they went through, it is all there. This is a book that ou can read over and over catching some new information each time. There is so much in there that I will definitely do a re-read. The drawings, photographs and coloured illustrations/paintings are fantastic. To see the evolution of the characters and sets as well as the finished product brings the movie to you in another light. This is a must for any Labyrinth lovers, David Bowies lovers and movie lovers. A great book! I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
