Glynn Stewart is a prolific independent author of military science fiction who usually gives this well-worn genre an original twist. In the Terran Privateer, he gives the starship captain role to a woman and gives the Earth-conquering aliens unexpected nuance. It is a journeyman performance. 3.5 stars. (
