Brilliant book, has become my baby bible, just wish I'd read it whilst pregnant! It's thorough and practical, covering all the basics in a very matter of fact, common sense way. I found it much more reassuring than any of the other baby books I've read, particularly as the content is sensible and realistic. She covers everything from preparing for the birth, coping with the first few weeks and afterwards, feeding (breast feeding is covered in a very practical rather than dogmatic way, which I found refreshing and helpful. Formula feeding is also covered), sleeping, travelling, solids, routine. I particularly liked her emphasis on enjoying the first year which a lot of baby books seem to miss.
