Revolution audiobook version . Aubin takes the story in an unexpected direction in this story. Events in Landfall have trashed Zack's plans for a career as a fighter pilot. Zack has been transferred to waste management in the asteroid. While he's working in waste management, Zack is exposed to life among the civilian members of the crew. Zack's actions surrounding the mysterious spacecraft's Earthly origins have planted the seeds of revolution. Those seeds blossom in this continuing story. The consequences of the revolution have dyer consequences on the organization, and direction of the ship, on Zack's life, those of his friends and his bidding romantic relationship.While this series may have started out as young adult fiction, this story introduces serious themes with a great deal of action. Aubin explores questions of redemption, betrayal, and ethics. Aubin begins to hint that there is more to the artificial intelligence know as Alpha than meets the eye. ( )

Like the last one in the series, there are flaws to find here in the storytelling, characters, dialogue, etc, but for a brand new author, I remain very impressed. Overall, the story is still one that I'm quite interested to see where it's going, it reads well, and I enjoyed it more than some "professionally" written books. Well done, Mr Aubin!

I'd highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in giving new authors a chance and people who like a good space drama. This isn't "hard" science fiction, more of a science fiction "setting" than anything, but it kind of reminds me of Starship Troopers (though we'll see if it has a larger political or moral statement to make by the end). It's an example of what can go right. We'll see where he takes it. ( )
