Rodeo Dreams & One Rodeo Season

Ian Tall Chief is a rodeo bullfighter (he protects the riders from the bulls when they are thrown from a bull or dismount). Lacy Evans is the stock contractor at the rodeo (she provides bulls for the riders). One day at the rodeo Ian notices a man hassling Lacy, so he steps in to help her out. Sparks fly between Ian and Lacy right from the start, first because Lacy is angry because she feels she doesn't need any help, and second because these two are extremely attracted to each other. Ian decides to be protector to Lacy at the rodeos because a lot of the men there think that women don't belong in the profession. He is also determined to find out who is behind a series of so-called accidents trying to oust her from the rodeo.

This was a very enjoyable romance featuring two likable characters. Ian was an incredibly hot hero and he just seemed to radiate sexiness. He is very proud of his Native American heritage. He looks after those he cares for. He also has a secret--a son he gave up for adoption years ago. Ian is hoping he will make it to Vegas with the rodeo this year so he will be able to meet his son who lives there. Lacy recently lost her parents in a car crash. She used to work the rodeos with her father, and now it is just her. She feels like she's alone in the world. And a secret that her parents had kept from her has recently come to light, making her feel more lost than ever. The romance between Ian and Lacy was very well done. Their chemistry was sizzling and the sex was hot, but their romance was also a very sweet one.

My favorite parts of the book were the ones that took place at the various rodeos, and this is coming from someone who really isn't that much into the rodeo world. The author really made it seem exciting and interesting and it really came alive. Very entertaining read. ( )
