Such a unique and exciting take on both a fairytale and fantasy. The two were combined brilliantly, and the fairytale aspect was completely different from any I have read before. This is definitely a story I want to continue and an author I will follow.

I like that the calligraphy and book brought in the whole realization of a fairytale. It was interesting to think they had been forced to search for each other for centuries, just to finish writing their love story. I loved that this time our charming one must save our leading lady from a lifer that could never be complete, as she is without true love, rather than a monster. This story definitely made you feel just how hard being without love, for centuries, could be and brings in the feeling that it is much worse than being held by a dragon.

The characters were fantastic. I loved that the lead lady didn't have a clue as to why things were falling apart and she was unhappy. It was very real, raw and hard to imagine the pain, as she cut herself to,deal with what she felt, or didn't feel. Then, as we got to know her, just how much she wanted to love and how strong she really was, she was thrown into a completely different culture, in a wee village. I loved that she blossomed there. It was unexpected and felt so free and happy.

The pace was good, as it stayed mostly as a medium pace, to give us time to feel and see what was happening, but it had some moments of faster pace, to try and battle an evil that wanted to ruin the two main characters' chances at finishing their story.

Overall, really good read. It is fun, different and really easy to get into.
