A story that on paper I shouldn't like, all first person pov, some stream of conscious, New Adult, and a little bit of love triangle. But I ended up really liking it!

It's new adult with the characters being sophomores in college, the female main character partied hard her freshman year, her nickname in highschool was Nora Bora so she wanted to have fun but ends up befriending a party girl and long story short, she has way too many one night stands and ends up arrested for indecent exposure. She loses half of her scholarship and has to have meetings with the Dean of the school, where he brings up her sex life????? So, it's good girl time for her second year in college, break out those cardigans!

She tells the party girl that she also works with that they can't be friends and answers an ad asking for a quiet, studious roommate. She talks with the guy who took the ad for a while and they seem like a good match, but when she shows up at the apartment to look around, popular track guy Crosbie answers the door with his bestfriend Kellan the king of campus right behind him. It turns out that Kellan wants to buckle down too. The big problem was that Kellan was one of Nora's one night stands but he doesn't remember her, which she knows will make things awkward if they room together but he offers the first month of rent free. Broke college kid and all, she takes it.

It all sounds like cliché stuff and it definitely has some of that but it gives you those beginning love feelings as Nora and Crosbie start to connect, they really are a sweet make you feel all those butterflies couple. The obvious danger looming on the horizon is that Crosbie has always felt second place to Kellan and you know it's going to come out that Luna and Kellan slept together. Without Crosbie's pov, I had some questions about what he was thinking at times but his caring about Luna still came across enough to make you gooey over him.

Some stuff, "Crosbiebabes" and bathroom sex lists, that make your eyes want to roll at times, along with Crosbie and Kellan being track stars but not really getting much on that, and Crosbie doing magic (Illusions!) that didn't feel like it fit in well to me, but this was really one of the best for the butterfly in the tummy, new love, make you grin sweet moments. I also liked how the party friend was more than that and there was a good friendship with her and Luna, along with a little secondary romance.

Recommended if you're wanting new adult sweetness with some steamy open door scenes. ( )

Nora went from boring high schooler to wild child college freshman. She drank too much, partied too hard, and studied too little. To the point of nearly failing out of school and getting arrested. She decides to revert back to her boring, invisible self and looks for a roommate with similar goals. She ends up moving in with a guy she hooked up with during her wild phase, only he doesn't remember because he was equally as wild. But then she starts to fall for his best friend and things really get interesting.

I liked this book so much more than I thought I would. It was a sweet love story about two people finding the person with whom they can just be the best versions of themselves. Unfortunately the ending kind of fell flat, but everything leading up to the inevitable reveal was good. ( )

reread 9/2020 well, there's this thing that happens. I knew I wanted to reread something by JK, for like..ever...I'm feeling this brand of angst and flawed characters so hard that my rereads are faring way better than my new reads...so here I am. Looking at a 3 rating, for a book I've reread and will certainly get bumped up in the process of this review. There are so many great moments in this book, I'm a bit stumped by my initial rating. It's a unique story that stuck out in my head like a...red corset...so clearly doesn't deserve the rating I gave it.

There's this time in this book that as a gal whose been stood up before and gets very hangry is one of the best gestures...
Because despite how much I wish I could be invisible at this very moment, I've been complaining about how easily overlooked I am all the time, and Crosbie did his very best to make sure I wasn't.

And this is Julianna Keyes so that wonderful humor that you can totally see happening in real life happens.
"Crosbie," I mumble, touched. "You..."
"I gave it some thought," he says, "and I know how desperate you are for attention. Now you're a star."
I shake my head. "You do the sweetest things. And then you ruin them by talking."

This was an relatable, cute, funny story about the way you mess up your freshman year and reinvent yourself. It was exactly what I needed! I also seriously, 100% appreciate the dealing of promiscuity and college hook-ups in this book, they were really well done.

I don't understand the legs on the cover, however. ( )

A lovely book about reinventing yourself, forgiveness and second chances. Filled with 250 pages of humour, insight and romance, this book will keep you well entertained for the duration.

"Undecided" is similar but yet different as compared to Julianna Keyes Time Served series. Similar in the sense that it has the same thoughtful, reflective themes. Different in the sense that the plot is light, targeting YA readers. I hope this continues as a series.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review. ( )

My Review:

Nora Kincaid has two speeds, all on or all off and last year, she was so all on that she managed to fail most of her classes, lost half her scholarship, hooked up with way too many random guys, and got arrested. This year, Nora isn’t just turning over a new leaf, she is going into all off mode and that means some serious changes in her life.

First up in operation Nora Bora is finding a new place to live and with only one real prospect, Nora is going to take the offer. The apartment is clean, the space is quiet, the roommate, Kellan is hotter than hell, and happens to be one of Nora’s last year hook-ups who doesn’t remember her. Well, beggars can’t be choosers and Kellan, has rededicated himself to a straight and narrow path and Nora is just the right influence to keep him honest. Nora has no intention of reminding Kellan of their hook-up especially after she officially meets his roommate, Crosbie Lucas.

Crosbie Lucas is known all over campus. Most guys envy him and every girl wants to be with him. In case you want to know just who Crosbie has been with, just check the girl’s restroom in the Student Union  Nora has no intention of becoming a Crosbabe (yes, that’s what they’re called!) but she quickly discovers that Crosbie isn’t all his reputation would make him out to be. In fact, Crosbie is generally kind, quite funny, dedicated to his studies, and totally interested in Nora. Despite her best efforts, Nora is interested in Crosbie but being with him would threaten her new boring, studious, good girl life. Trouble is, Crosbie is always around and Nora is finding it harder and harder to contain her feelings for him. The only thing left for a girl to do is start up a secret affair with Crosbie and pray no one finds out about them and blows her current good girl cover.

For weeks, Nora and Crosbie carry on as stealthily as possible and with each passing day, each becomes more attached to the other. With the exception of the sneaking around, everything seems to be going well right up to the moment Kellan drops a bombshell which will require him to uncover and contact every sexual partner he has had in the past year. In one fell swoop, every bit of last year that Nora has worked so hard to move past and forget is going to be exposed the moment Kellan figures out which mystery woman on his extensive list Nora is. Even more horrifying, as soon as Kellan figures is out, his best-friend, Crosbie is going to know too.

The Bottom Line: Undecided is all kinds of back story heavy and I do love a good back story. Nora had one hell of a good time last year and now she is paying the price. All the drunken nights, all the skipped classes had serious consequences and Nora is working so hard to overcome her mistakes. Crosbie is actually quite perfect for Nora and helps her figure out how to find a balance between full on and full off. Crosbie works hard, cares for Nora, and does his best to stand by her when the proverbial sh^t hits the fan. In addition to their sweet romance are the hot naughty bits, and minor characters that round out the cast of Undecided. In all, this is somewhat angsty read with some moments of funny, some moments of aawww, and lots of moments of WOW!! so that happened. ( )
