Jaeth's Eye by K.S. Villoso

Kefier had a normal life until his brothers death. Kefier finds himself caught between two fighting Mage's. They are fighting over the power from a creature with one eye. He who holds this power can destroy the Land. Kefier is about to learn about a Father who wants vengeance for his murdered children, a peasant girl who is fighting for survival for herself and children, and a Prince trying to find his way home.

Kefier is likable. Although he is haunted by the death of his brother. There are many other colorful characters, most are likable others are not. The story is quite complex, with a lot going on.

The vivid details help to understand what is happening. At some point I was a bit confused, but it all comes together in the end. Overall the story is entertaining, original, with action, drama and suspense. I feel those who like Fantasy will enjoy Jaeth's Eye. ( )
