This is the second graphic novel in "The Creeps" series. In Pumpkin County, The Creeps are looking for monsters to get rid of. When Earnest and Mary stumble upon a terribly stinky place, they spray it with body spray and both of them get attacked and disappear. The rest of the group tires to help them and Jarvis ends up being attacked by what they figure out is an invisible troll. Trolls feast on humans that are stressed out and with what is happening in Pumpkins county, there are a lot of stressed out people. The Creeps want to get rid of the trolls before anyone else is attacked, but they do not want to kill them. While doing research, they find out that Jock Brogglin wrote the book they are using. with information from Brogglin, they are eventually able to see the uglies, smelliest troll, who comes after them for spraying him. The chase is on and again with Brogglin's help and lots of close calls they find the troll colony. Can the Creeps save Pumpkins County. I did not really enjoy this graphic novel, but I think older children (9 to 14) would find it humourous, especially the boys.

Not as good as the first book in the series, but still enjoyable. Considering the level of audience that this book seems aimed at, it seems a little off to have minor characters die quite violently just barely offscreen in the opening and closing sequences. The core group of protagonists is an appealing mix of oddballs though and the story is loaded with action and humor. ( )
