Nothing exciting but nothing eye-rolling either. The murder mystery was crafted with good intent, but the actions of one of the characters was just too obvious. The first book had me really interested in the MC and her family and friends but there's no development in this one and it left me feeling ambivalent. In fact, as I am writing this I am wondering how to get Goodreads to give me 6 stars to give this book. Joyce Tremel writes her characters, events, and even the murder with such realism that I am wishing this was real life. Max, is awesome. A total independent, ” I got this” kind of gal. She has built a successful brewery and is getting to be known for the murders too! Not, that it is something to brag about, but I find her solving skills unique and fun.
