It was sassy, very hot sometimes and emotional too. Samanthe Beck describes her characters in a way that they come to life. I loved Beau, especially when I read about what he went through and I admired Savannah, trying to make it as an artist. The chemistry between them burns so brightly and is so well written. Here's what it's all about: Savannah Smith, a glass artist, expected a marriage proposal for Thanksgiving. She never expected it from her strong, silent and super-hot neighbour though. A misplace mail and a can of paint lands her hottie neighbour and her in a compromising position as her family arrives for dinner assuming he is “The One” she’s been talking about for the last weeks. And then his family shows up to celebrate Thanksgiving. When Beau Montgomery’s mother cries tears of joy over his surprise engagement to the sexy little blonde next door, he can’t bring himself to break her heart by setting the matters straight. He isn’t about to put his heart at risk again after fate had dealt a crippling blow to it. He manages to talk Savannah into being his fake fiancée long enough to survive the holidays. Savannah is a glass artist trying to make her way and name into the world. But at the beginning of the holiday season nothing goes her way. The engagement announcement that she thought she would be making didn't go according to her plans. Instead there was another one out of a misunderstanding between their families. Now she stuck for the holidays being a fiancé. Beau is the next door neighbor who has been fantasizing about her. One mistaken delivery and a paint can to the head later he finds himself fake engaged to her. Will he be able to pull this off without both of their families finding out that it's fake? Be there might be a slight problem with Beau and Savannah's plans that they never saw coming. And will this little hiccup be their downfall or a solution for them both? I really enjoyed this book. I could hardly put it down. Beau and Savannah make a perfect couple. The flow of the story was great. And the sex scene was very hot. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book to others. I received this book for an honest review via NetGalley. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
He needs the kind of rescue only she can provide.... Glass artist Savannah Smith expected a marriage proposal for Thanksgiving--just not from her strong, silent, super-hot neighbor. But when misplaced mail and a wayward can of paint lands them in a compromising position right as her family arrives for dinner, they assume he's "The One" she's been talking about. Then his family shows up. Fate dealt a crippling blow to paramedic Beau Montgomery's heart, and he isn't about to put it at risk again. Except, with his mother crying tears of joy over his surprise engagement to the sexy little blonde next door, he can't bring himself to ruin her "Christmas miracle." Somewhere between the paint can to the head and the chaotic family trip to the ER, Beau manages to talk Savannah into being his fake fianc e long enough to survive the holidays. If, of course, they don't fall in love first.... Series order: Love Emergency Book 1: Emergency EngagementLove Emergency Book 2: Emergency Delivery Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

Ms. Beck is an author that I occasionally read. I requested an ARC of Emergency Engagement from NetGalley and Entangled in exchange for an honest review. After the first few pages I was not impressed. There were some funny moments but it was slow going for a while in my opinion. I am glad that I did not throw in the towel because the story found it's voice rather quickly. This story spoke to me. Losing someone you love is never easy but losing two of the most important people in your life would be a hard thing to bounce back from. So it's no surprise that Beau has turned into a cynic. So I loved it when vibrant, artistic, unorganized Savannah blew into his life. She was the shock he needed to bring him back to life and a good complement to his closed off personality. Emergency Engagement had a slow build up but finished perfectly. 3.5 Stars ( )
