Sweet Dreams is a lusty futuristic novel filled with graphic sexual encounters and explicit language which reads like a no holds barred fantasy play book. The heroine, Alisha Johnson, is a go getter determined to get her man. The hero, Clayton Daniels, is plagued by guilt but he wants Alisha as much as she wants him. The topic of space travel and behavior-altering drugs all work in developing the plot. I chose this book as a recommended read because it’s an easy read, the characters are well drawn and face it, the sex is out of this world. Literally.

Alisha Johnson is in love with Clayton, her cousin by marriage, but she keeps her distance because of the fear of displeasing their family. When the chance arises for Ashley to finally express her feelings she is determined to get her man. Alisha dismisses the theory that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach and goes directly to Clayton’s bed. Her mind is set but she does need some encouragement and what better than a behavior enhancing drug that removes inhibitions and allows a person to act out their most erotic fantasies. Each week Clayton finds himself on the receiving end of some of the most intense sexual action he’s ever experienced. He appears powerless to refuse her advances but quite frankly his resistance is insincere to say the least. At the end of the experiment Ashley catches a case of remorse and decides to come clean. She has to face whether or not Clayton is flattered by the extreme lengths she takes to bring them together or if he feels betrayed by her deception.
